What is What the Dickens?

What the Dickens is an online quiz in which teams of four students compete against the clock and other teams of students all over the state to win merit awards, book prizes and the kudos of being on top of the What the Dickens league table.

The online competition is run over three rounds over three consecutive weeks. This means that student teams have the opportunity to become more familiar with their team processes and the different types of questions types and can improve on their previous times. The quiz questions will draw on students' skills in English, such as grammar, vocabulary, knowledge of literature and so forth. The teams that work collaboratively - whose members listen actively, mediate, negotiate and reflect - will be able to solve the quiz questions in the shortest possible times.
